Job Summary

The Associate Director, Omnichannel Marketing Platform Technologist serves as the omnichannel business partner for Eisai marketing and brand teams. As the leader of the digital channels including email and web channels, he/she/they works with business stakeholders to design omnichannel solutions to meet the strategic marketing needs of the business. In this role, he/she/they will provide leadership in process analysis, process and system design and development, to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective omnichannel marketing technology solutions.

This position collaborates with marketing colleagues to align brand plans, digital engagement requirements and customer journeys. They also partner with internal data and analytics owners (IT and Business) and external channel partners to define tagging/taxonomy, integrate data, define measurement plans and dashboards. In this role, he/she/they will also provide guidance for the day-to-day operations of the commercial marketing IT platforms to meet the needs of the Marketing teams.

The position holder is responsible for tracking and analyzing industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies and assessing applicability to the marketing function at Eisai. This role conceives and drives innovative solutions aligned with business objectives and assists the business in defining value propositions for current and future investments.

Essential Functions

  • Deliver digital marketing/omnichannel solutions using the Eisai Digital Engagement Platform (EDEP) in partnership with Marketing.
  • Lead the email (SFMC) and web (Sitecore) channels as we fulfill our brands omnichannel strategies while exhibiting executional excellence.
  • Lead omnichannel platform functions by utilizing strong understanding of enterprise level omnichannel marketing concepts and best practices coupled with the ability to effectively contribute to digital communication strategies through innovative creative design, setup and delivery, targeting, segmentation and personalization, end-to-end testing, analysis and optimization.
  • Drive the establishment of and adherence to consistent and repeatable processes, procedures and standards for marketing automation and other omnichannel projects.
  • Coordinate activity with the EDEP managed services team by communicating platform enhancement needs and ongoing operational updates, driving items to completion, and performing appropriate quality control to verify results meet expectations.
  • Partner with internal data and analytics owners (IT and Business) and external channel partners to define tagging/taxonomy, integrate data, define measurement plans and dashboards.
  • Ensure the timely resolution of all end-user and Production issues related to the EDEP platforms working with the EDEP Managed Services team to resolve the issues, identify the root causes, and implement process improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing multichannel and omnichannel projects and operations of associated marketing technology solutions.
  • Enterprise level experience implementing and managing SFMC and omnichannel marketing initiatives.
  • Experience with Sitecore and SFMC required. Experience with social media management, NPP analytics and Veeva CRM preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with and within multiple teams, departments, and staff.
  • 3-5+ years in a pharmaceutical marketing or related environment required
  • 5+ years of experience working directly with the business to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Experience applying AI and/or Machine Learning models highly preferred.
  • Experience leading and managing distributed teams.
  • Experience working with creative and media agencies.
  • Proficient multitasking skills with a proven ability to successfully manage a large portfolio of tasks.
  • Solid systems orientation with a thorough familiarity of emerging technologies such as digital marketing, social media, cloud computing, mobility, and big data and its applicability to the sales and marketing area
  • Strong problem-solving ability through insightful solutions which address complex issues. Ability to dissect root cause of issues creating the best solution for Eisai considering quality, cost, and speed requirements.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to tailor the context of the conversation to the audience (technical or non-technical).
  • Exceptional customer service skills and high level of enthusiasm.
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and identify priorities in a high-pressure environment, work with cross-functional global teams, and execute on schedule.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification(s) preferred.
  • Global implementation experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Japanese) is a plus.
