Steward maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of our kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for our guests and staff. You will be responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as assisting with general cleaning and organization tasks as needed.


  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, and cooking utensils using dishwashing machines or by hand, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
  • Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently, following manufacturer instructions and guidelines
  • Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas, maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in kitchen and dining areas
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas according to established procedures and schedules
  • Assist with general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and wiping down surfaces in kitchen and dining areas
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and storage areas, ensuring supplies are properly stocked and organized
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling and storage of ingredients
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations during service
  • Follow opening and closing procedures as instructed by kitchen management
  • Operate ethically to protect the image of the company
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested


  • Previous kitchen experience in a high-volume restaurant environment preferred
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen sanitation and safety procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, such as trays of dishes and kitchen equipment
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required


  • Ability to perform the essential job functions consistent safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; Ability to stand for prolong periods of time and climb steps regularly
  • Ability to physically maneuver through work areas; bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment
