Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.

We are currently seeking a Bilingual Expatriate Support Specialist for our Corporate Office located in Novi, Michigan reporting to AGM, HR & Administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for Expatriates, including before arrival in the USA and throughout their time in the USA.
  • Conduct/update the orientation process for Expatriates.
  • Plan arrival and departure celebrations for Expatriates.
  • Create and support monthly presentation materials for Expatriates.
  • Document translation Japanese ⇔ English.
  • Provide support for Expatriates (medical support, family arrival, driver’s license etc.)
  • Prepare reports as needed for HR department and leadership.
  • Process expense reports, invoices, expenses, and other financial documents.
  • Plan and organize travel.
  • HR Administrative support and backup to executive assistant.
  • Assist with other administrative functions or special projects as needed, including arranging events, document preparation, agenda publishing, and arranging refreshments.
  • Attend meetings as required to support translation and note-taking.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Fluent in Japanese (speak/read/write) and English
  • 2+ years of experience as an Administrative Assistant or equivalent
  • Competent in MS Office experience – PowerPoint, excel, outlook
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to provide occasional after-hours support (remotely)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Hybrid schedule after training
