THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Events Manager who blends creativity with meticulous attention to detail. This role requires flexibility, quick decision-making, and the ability to lead multiple cross-functional projects. You will design and manage high-impact events, sponsorships, and brand activations that demonstrate our commitment to open innovation and collaboration.
As the Events Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of building and nurturing our community. You’ll handle over 30 engagements globally, including industry-leading events and strategic brand activations. Your work will be pivotal in establishing Woven Capital as a preferred investment partner globally and positioning Toyota as a leader in technology and investment within the mobility sector.
You will organize everything from intimate workshops to large industry gatherings, both locally and globally. By working across various teams, you’ll drive collaborative efforts and create unforgettable event experiences that align with our brand’s mission and goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage industry-leading, high-visibility events from inception to completion, including setting measurable goals, creating budget plans, and coordinating logistics.
- Lead the planning and execution of high-touch events for investment team members, portfolio companies, investors, and internal stakeholders.
- Provide critical operational and logistical support for both external and internal events, as well as virtual programming.
- Manage the localization of content in Japanese to ensure clarity and engagement for all stakeholders.
- Drive cross-functional teams across Woven Capital and Toyota to plan and execute events.
- Manage post-event follow-up activities, including gathering feedback and evaluating event success.
- Oversee a range of external vendors, including restaurants, hotels, caterers, and AV companies. Negotiate budgets, contracts, menu selections, event staffing, and day-of logistics.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 7+ years of experience in events management, project management, or production.
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese (speaking, reading, and writing) and business-level proficiency in English.
- Proven track record in executing multifaceted small- and large-scale events within strict timelines.
- Enthusiastic about enhancing company reputation and fostering collaboration through events.
- Exceptional creative skills with a forward-thinking and innovative approach.
- Proactive attitude with the ability to navigate uncertainty while setting and achieving challenging objectives and goals.
- Passion for innovation and Toyota’s mission.
- Familiarity with global startup and investor events, especially within the venture capital or tech industries.
$130,000- $170,000 a year.
Your base salary is one part of your total compensation. We offer a base salary, short term and long term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package. The California pay scale for this full time position is $130,000- $170,000. The total compensation offered to an employee will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and level.
