Job Description
Waterstone Resort Marina, A Curio Collection by Hilton property, managed by Schulte Hospitality Groupis seekinga dynamic, service-oriented Executive Sous Chef to join our team! This is a unique opportunity as food and beverage is at the heart of our Resort’s repositioning. Additionally, you will be part of the opening team as we prepare to launch Kasumi, a modern Japanese restaurant in 2024.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and adjacent areas
- Creative menu planning to adjust to guest needs
- Overseeing food preparation of a 3-meal restaurant robust Banquet business
- Checking quality of food deliveries
- Ordering food and cleaning supplies and maintaining proper supply levels
- Maintaining costs within budget levels
- Manage labor costs, schedules and productivity
- Hiring, coaching and disciplining direct reports
- Interacting positively and professionally with guests to resolve issues
- Acting as Manager on duty as required
- Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree /or Culinary Arts Degree preferred; equivalent experience and training will be considered
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a culinary leadership role
- Food Manager safety certification preferred or obtained within 30-days of hire
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong Banquet background preferred
- Ability to read an event BEO
- Understands timelines
- Takes pride in their output
- Enjoys training others and sharing knowledge
- Ability to multi-task

- Ability to exceed expectations of guests
