THE OPPORTUNITY:

Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston is currently looking for an In Room Dining Assistant Manager

BASIC PURPOSE:

Manage the day-to-day operations of In Room Dining. Ensure guests are provided with an exemplary level of service in keeping with the Four Seasons standards. Responsible for scheduling, purchasing, inventories and any additional assignments related to the Food and Beverage division.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION OF THE JOB:

• Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the Hotel’s In Room Dining Department to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met.
• The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts.
• Describe and ensure quality of all food items, ingredients, and preparation methods, as well as provide knowledge of wine and spirits in an elegantly appointed environment dedicated to an attentive and distinctive experience for 24-hour a day in-room dining and in-room private bar services.
• Control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, purchasing decisions, and inventory and control.
• Relay occupancy information to the Food and Beverage team to ensure correct scheduling.
• Communicate with employees and Food and Beverage Manager to ensure operational needs are met as well as attend regular operational meetings to ensure effective coordination and cooperation between departments.

Knowledge and Skills:

• 2-3 years of Food and Beverage experience in a luxury hotel, in a management capacity
• Thorough knowledge of service, cost control in F&B, labor controls, menu writing.
• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Ability to have flexible schedule according to operational needs.
