As a product manager for Spot, you help design, build, and ship Boston Dynamics’ end-to-end industrial inspection solution, including software and hardware features, service offerings, and go-to-market plans. In this role you will focus on Spot capabilities; developing and putting new tools, behaviors, and systems to work on real customer sites. The successful PM in this role will be enthusiastic about solutioning and really be able to help communicate how Spot provides an opportunity with these integrations. This role sits at the intersection of many teams, balancing the needs of internal and external stakeholders to deliver the best results for our customers. As this role will focus regionally on APAC markets, it will require occasional travel and working in those timezones.

Day to day activities:

  • Developing business plans, pricing models, service plans, and other go-to-market components critical to landing and expanding our solution in APAC markets.
  • Coordinating between BD certified Partners, customers, and engineering teams to develop, integrate, test, and launch new capabilities for Spot
  • Work with customers remotely and on-site to understand their needs, how they are using our products, and how we can help them succeed.
  • Conducting gap and competitor analysis of our current industrial inspection solution.
  • Documenting and distilling customer information into high-quality artifacts to inform internal discussions and start the design process.
  • Work with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to design and prioritize features to accomplish user and business results.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team including external partners to identify market opportunities for new industrial inspection robots and payloads, specify features for them, and bring them to market.
  • Review customer data and metrics to validate hypotheses, identify usage patterns, and assess performance of existing features.

Desired skills:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a product manager
  • Fluency in Korean and English and excellent written and verbal communication skills in each.
  • Product management experience for an early-stage product.
  • Capacity to distill customer requests into actionable and appropriately scoped problem definitions for the engineering team.
  • Excellent skills in stakeholder management.
  • Ability to perform market analysis – identifying market needs, market size, and competitive offerings
  • Able to create and deliver compelling presentations to customers, internal teams, and executive audiences
  • Experience working with APAC customers is a plus.
  • Experience working with customers in asset management, manufacturing, utilities or other asset-intensive industries is a plus.
  • Fluency in additional languages – particularly Japanese – is also a plus.


  • Occasional travel to customer sites and regions of interest
  • Hybrid work (wfh/onsite) is an option.
