POSITION SUMMARY
Aniplex of America Inc. (a subsidiary of Sony Music Japan) is seeking a Senior Coordinator to join the team located in Santa Monica, CA. The Senior Coordinator will support the MD Licensing division for the development and distribution of Aniplex of America Inc.’s, original products, participation to anime related conventions, hosting of a pop-up shop or importing Anime related products. This position requires deep knowledge regarding manufacturing of products and conventions, and communication skills for internal and outside the division and company. The ideal candidate will take the initiative to act passively to achieve the goal.
The position has a HYBRID schedule. Employees are expected to work onsite in the Santa Monica office at least 2 days per week.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under the supervision of Sr. Merchandising Specialist, the candidate will perform the following duties:
- Inventory control and management of import/export products
- Act as point of contact for dealers and the head office overseas, and manage sales and
- receipts of inventory
- product tracking and delivery arrangements
- Assist with determining which products to sell at retailers (including major US corporate
- accounts) and e-commerce shops; determine pricing and promotional products
- Manage status of sales from e-commerce and stores/wholesalers
- General office work such as creating and submitting reports to head office overseas
- Business trip to out of state warehouse at the end of the year for inventory count
- Subsequent inventory adjustment and follow-up
- Business trip to out of state conventions
- Convention Store / Event Store
- Planning / Scheduling / Operation / Controlling Budget
- -Promotional Items Production
- Domestic Products
- Planning / Design and Production / Approval / Timeline management
- Vendor (Current and Potential) management
- Negotiations with HQ and the committee
- Perform other duties as needed
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
- Japanese/English Bilingual
- 2-3 years total merchandising development experience
- 2-3 years total conventions experience
- Past experience and knowledge in the anime industry is highly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
- Strong attention to details and accuracy
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Strong management and communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Excel (experience with PivotTables and VLookups a plus)
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to organize and deliver meaningful insight from large amounts of data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office
- Must be available for business trips/travel
- Strong with numbers and attentive to details
- Eligible to work unrestricted in the USA

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
