California Public Employee’s Retirement Systems (CalPERS) seeks an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA), Senior Retirement Benefits Counselor, with Bilingual Spanish skills in the Customer Education and Outreach Division (CEOD), Fresno Regional Office.

The Fresno Regional Office is located at 10 E River Park Place E, Suite #230 in Fresno, California.

Office coverage is required from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Travel and overnight travel may be required as well as working after normal business hours and weekends so please consider this before applying.

The Customer Education and Outreach Division (CEOD) serves as the first point of contact for CalPERS active and retired members, by educating and offering guidance on retirement program benefits and services. The CEOD Regional Offices are responsible for providing in-person and virtual help to active and retirement members by conducting presentations and meeting with customers on a one-on-one basis about retirement and health benefits while applying the Public Employee Retirement Law (PERL), the Public Employee’s Medical and Hospital Care Act (PEMHCA), new legislation, and policy initiatives in answering customer inquiries.

The position requires fluency in the Spanish language. If the State of California does not have a current record documenting your fluency in this language, you will be required to successfully pass an approved fluency test prior to being hired.

Special Requirements Statement of Qualifications
