Radisys is searching for a Senior Sales Director, based in Japan.The candidate must be a self-starter, flexible problem solver, dynamic leader, and outstanding communicator who is comfortable working across multiple functions and geographies within Radisys’ globally dispersed organization.


  • Develop and cultivate strategic relationships within both Telecom Equipment Manufacturers (TEMs) as well as commercial Service Providers (CSPs).
  • Qualify business opportunities, create and deliver sales presentations, and negotiate and close agreements.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely business projections and capable of navigating complex, multi-faceted sales – both vertically and horizontally.
  • Expected to meet or exceed set business objectives.


  • Minimum of 10+ years technical & sales within the Service Provider, OEM and market with experience selling to Tier 1 as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 and geo strategic customer accounts. Selling to Service Providers, especially the CTO office a plus.
  • Proven background in developing relationships with key decision makers and influencers including experience in closing large technology or service deals.
  • Deep knowledge and experience around Mobile data solutions (4G/5G//IoT/virtual and centralized RAN/SmallCells)
  • Small Cell/RAN access experience required with working knowledge of standard bodies like 3GPP, ETSI and ITU as well as industry forums like TIP, oRAN, vRAN alliances etc.
  • Significant market contacts, technical knowledge and experience selling to carriers in an assigned region.
  • System Integration experience is a big plus – working with 3rd parties and taking ownership of the product lifecycle regardless of Radisys/vendor provided solutions.
  • Proven ability to read situations, think strategically, formulate comprehensive account plans and drive relationships vertically and horizontally.
  • Ability to provide and work from a home office located in the region.
  • Bachelor’s degree is requirement, advanced degree a plus
  • Fluent in Japanese and English
  • Knowledge of Korea market is plus
