The Supplier Development Global Coordinator provides key expertise in managing and coordinating requests between DSSA Inc. and other Daicel global locations, managing internal systems and ensuring compliance of on- time documentation submission from DSSA Inc. suppliers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Capable of performing the essential duties and responsibilities of Supplier Development Global Coordinator. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Coordinates requests to and from global Daicel sites to ensure timely response to those requests.
  • Manages the daily updates to the DSSA Supplier Portal.
  • Manages the return and reimbursement of non-conforming material with DSSA Inc. suppliers.
  • Tracks costs associated with non-conforming material from DSSA Inc. suppliers.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of continuous improvement projects as requested.
  • Manages supplier scorecard and performance reporting and other Key Performance Indicators.


Minimum educational requirements of a high school diploma. Experience working in the Automotive sector is preferable.

Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) as well as excellent problem solving, communication, motivational and organizational skills. Fluency in English and Japanese. Project management skills are preferable. The individual must be able to understand all policies, procedures, instructions, rules, and regulations associated with this position which are written in English. In addition, the individual must be able to appropriately respond to these and, where needed, provide reports, presentations, information, and communications in English and Japanese. Must be available to work days, evenings, or weekends, and overtime as required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to lighting and temperature as required for the office and manufacturing areas. Appropriate safety equipment is required by area. There is potential exposure to hazardous chemicals. A considerable amount of moving from department to department may occur in unfavorable weather conditions. The employee is exposed to the inherent dangers of the explosive materials used in DSSA, Inc.’s manufacturing processes.

The employee occasionally is required to perform functions which require the manual operation of both general office productivity and manufacturing equipment as well as the ability to place, reach, detect, ascend/descend, and position self to navigate within confined working spaces. The employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position. The employee must occasionally move or transport up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close inspection, identification of objects from a distance, color determination, peripheral detection, depth judgment, and the ability to identify details in varying conditions.
