We are looking for a Sushi Chef to join our culinary team and prepare delicious plates for our guests. The Sushi Chef will handle a wide range of raw fish and other ingredients. They will manage food stock, and work with attention to detail adhering to company quality standards.

Position Responsibilities

  • Prepare all types of sushi, including maki, nigiri and sashimi
  • Select fresh fruits and vegetables to make high-quality dishes (like avocado, mango and carrots)
  • Add additional flavors to sushi rolls with ginger, rice vinegar, wasabi and soy sauce, when appropriate
  • Food is prepared based on daily needs and par levels using proper utensils and adhering to recipe procedures
  • Receives information on guest’s allergy sensitivity and adheres to protocols
  • Cleans and sanitizes the work area including counters, utensils, cutting boards, preparation areas, and floors.
  • Maintain proper grooming and uniform standards.

Requirements

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School; able to communicate (speak, read, and write) in English

Experience: Previous experience as a Sushi Chef is preferred

Knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques required

Availability to work during business hours, including weekends and evenings
