Responsibilities:

The Lilly Technology group is actively looking for self-starters who like to solve problems. Are you passionate about technology and determined to deliver impactful technology solutions? If so, please apply. At Lilly, we offer many roles that use various technical capabilities across a wide variety of business areas. In addition to helping Lilly deliver lifesaving medicines, you will work in key business areas using many of the technology capabilities outlined below:

  • Cloud Engineering – A network of interconnected components cover applications, services, data and infrastructure.
  • Data Science and Machine Learning – A leading role in developing, deploying, and using advanced data/algorithm capabilities that empower decision-making across all functions.
  • Cyber Security – People-centric, secure, vigilant and resilient, capabilities that protect information, products and systems enabling Lilly to deliver on its mission.
  • User Experience Design – Integrated experiences for all consumers are delivered; comprised of information, technical capabilities, and services that work seamlessly together for the user.
  • Generative AI – At the forefront of AI to deliver medicines to people more efficiently by supercharging our employees to do work faster and better.
  • Integrated Product Systems – Lilly products will consist of molecules, devices, apps algorithms and data. This capability ensures robust deployment and support of the digital elements.
  • Product Leadership and Mindset – Vision, strategy, and roadmap defining for a customer-driven software product, as well as leading development, delivery, and adoption to customers.

Upon acceptance of the Technologist role, you will join our 2-year Eli Lilly Information Technology Experience (ELITE) program which provides you with mentoring, introductory technical skills, transferable leadership skills, applied opportunities, and customer experiences. This program is the first step in our People Empowerment Program for Technology, which exists to engage, energize, and encourage all Technology employees. Through these programs, you will establish relationships outside of your current business area that will help you deliver in your current role and explore future opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in and attending school, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering/Technology, Information Technology, Security or another relevant computer and technical program with expected graduation by August 2025.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to employed in the United States.
  • Completion of Lilly Internship.

Desired Experience:

  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the technology capabilities listed
  • Solid skills in problem analysis and problem solving
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership experience inside and/or outside the classroom
  • Familiarity with design, development, and operational methodologies (I.e. Agile, Waterfall, ITIL)
  • Passion for working on a team from diverse group of backgrounds
  • Familiarity with gathering and writing technical requirements
