Description
Primary Purpose and Function:
The primary function of this position is to administer shipment of machine orders to our Distributors and Customers. Shipments include the following:
- Stock Machines – sold and shipping to Distributors and Customers (Domestic and Export)
- Consignment/Lease Machines
- Machines shipping to Regional Shows and Expositions
- Options and Accessory Items sold as part of the machine order or Consignment/Lease
Responsibilities:
- Administer the approval for shipment of machines and options – which includes:
- Communicating with Distributors, Customers, Port and Broker Personnel, suppliers, and Freight Carriers
- Preparing Release Documents
- Bills of Lading, and Export Documentation
Administer Machine Movement Requests, including:
- Consignment/Lease Machines
- Show and Showroom Machines
- Return/Repo machines
- RDT and Run-off Machines
Process purchase orders from Suppliers for Options/Accessory items sold as part of the machine order or Consignment/Lease or for Freight/Rigging Cost incurred as a result of a machine movement.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years’ experience in Transportation. Must demonstrate a clear understanding of principles and methods of moving goods by road and air, including relative costs and benefits.
- Knowledge of US Export Regulations. Preferably related to Dual Use Items (Machine Tools)
- The ability to speak and write clearly and effectively to both internal and external customers.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/ priorities.
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (specifically Excel and Word)
Additional Desired Experience:
- Knowledge of Japanese Export Regulations (METI)
- General knowledge of Cost Accounting principles
