I. Primary Job Function: Supports the organization in the deployment of operational and technical training with the training specialist in TMD, HR. Assists Training Specialist provide training and activities that will enhance team member growth as well as encourage the pursuit of safety, quality, productivity, and delivery including new hire onboarding training program. Understands training needs of team members to assist and support each department.
II. Primary Responsibilities:
A. Assists Training Specialist conduct new hire onboarding training program.
1. Assists in planning and scheduling of new hire onboarding training program.
2. Assists in class room training and technical simulation training at Training Dojo.
3. Monitors and records training progress of each new hire at each department.
4. Provides assistance and support to each department based on the training needs.
B. Assists the implementation and completion of programs, projects, and activities to ensure team
members are trained, and developed to their fullest potential.
1. Assists with the development and delivery of operational and technical team
member training.
2. Delivers training material and conducts operational and technical training for team members based on subject matter expertise.
C. Provides assistance for team member development and overall training based on needs analysis in close cooperation with the management.
1. Compiles data and analyzes past and current training requirements.
2. Schedules programs in cooperation with Training Specialist based upon management-identified needs.
D. Conducts training audits to assess training progress, cross training, and training effectiveness.
1. Schedules and conducts training audits to monitor each team member’s training progress.
2. Closely communicates with each floor side management team of any training improvements or corrections that need to be made based on the training audits.
3. Assists in monitoring overall training program effectiveness and suggests countermeasures for gaps.
E. Assists with the development, monitoring ,and maintenance of Training Dojo, training room, multimedia visual aids, testing and evaluation procedures, and other educational materials
1. Assist Training Specialist coordinate and monitor Training Dojo, training room and other training related areas.
2. Maintains training records and documents.
3. Assists Training Specialist coordinate training with outside sources, such as corporate trainers and technical and professional schools.
Experience:
• Experience in facilitating technical skill training in manufacturing settings preferred.
• Experience at an Automotive OEM and / or Tier 1 Supplier to Japanese automaker helpful.
• Experience in the production processes preferred.

• Ability to communicate and work well with all levels of organization in a multicultural environment
• Good understanding to communicate and working knowledge of TBA’s organization, automotive plants, and processes/principles, company products, trade terminology, and manufacturing processes is a plus.

Language Skills:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Japanese or Spanish would be helpful.

Work Environment:
This position is a typical manufacturing environment with a high noise level. Personal protective equipment will be required.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
