Job Summary
This Analyst position is responsible for supporting upper management through the engagement of critical bank wide initiatives and operations including the regulatory remediation support, ESG governance, and MUFG Americas Holdings Corporation (MUAH) Board operations. The wide range of assignments also includes internal communications development and other high-level support for the Americas and Tokyo Head Office (HO) executives. This position will require accountability and execution capability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in Americas and Tokyo HO to perform tasks under limited supervision.
Major Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the Regulatory Operations & Affairs Office (ROAO) to enhance regulatory governance including the support for the Critical Regulatory Matters Review (CRMR) Committee.
- Attend periodical CRMR Committee and create meeting minutes for prompt circulations to relative stakeholders.
- Serve as liaison between ROAO and Tokyo HO to develop required HO Executive Committee/Board materials. Prepare for high-level executive meetings with senior regulators.
- Support to drive ESG/climate change initiatives through facilitations, management support and liaison between U.S. and Tokyo stakeholders.
- Proactively participate in internal and external ESG/climate change related seminars and conferences to understand latest industry trends and deepen your own knowledge.
- Collaborate closely with the Office of the Corporate Secretary of the Americas Legal Department and Tokyo HO to Perform as liaison for the MUAH Board, U.S. Advisory Board, and the U.S. Risk Committee, especially on management matters relating to Tokyo HO and MUAH Directors from Tokyo HO.
- Be accountable to organize periodical materials to submit to the Tokyo HO Audit Committee and Audit & Supervisory Committee.
- Support the development of internal communications to cover the entire Chief of Staff organization including periodical town hall operations and message distributions.
- Arrange administrative travel/meeting arrangements for Tokyo HO and Americas counterparts on enterprise business purposes.
- Provide planning and administrative support for the Americas management as needed.
- Support ad-hoc assignments and administrative operations in the team as necessary.
- Understand and integrate the organizational landscape both in Americas and Tokyo HO as liaison.
- Escalate issues that require management’s attention to mitigate execution risks of the above tasks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Typically requires 3+ years of demonstrated knowledge in project coordination experience, strong business analytics.
- A minimum 3+ years’ experience in supporting senior executive in large corporation
- Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills.
- Excellent organization and people skills.
- Strong database, spreadsheet, PowerPoint, and general computer skills.
- Project management leadership skills.
- An ability to work with and across multiple departments.
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills in English and Japanese.
- Requires advanced communication skill level for written and oral presentations, planning, negotiation, reports construction with knowledge of internal policies and presentations.
- Must be fluent in English and Japanese (verbal and written).
The typical base pay range for this role is between $83K – $115K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
