Production (Controls) Engineer

Candidate will provide engineering support for electronic and electro-mechanical equipment and processes, including the development, initiation and modification of processes for the production of new components. They will plan and coordinate the integration of new machinery and equipment into manufacturing processes, which may include fabrication and testing of new machine components and tooling for the production of new products. The candidate will develop preventive maintenance programs for production, machinery, tooling, and equipment. They will perform testing of processes and machinery to identify and resolve production problems, as well as develop and implement ergonomic improvements.

Main Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting of electrical, PLC, and HMI systems
• Interfacing with real-time database applications to manage critical production information
• Analyze and correlate Business Process vs IT processes vs Technologies
• Apply ITIL concepts while handling incidents, problems, changes, and requests
• Perform preventive analyses on day-to-day issues and suggest improvements related to business user related queries
• Coordinate with various teams, analyze root cause and assist in efficient resolution of all production issues/processes
• Monitor, highlight, and escalate the issues for production systems
• Develop, document, and train others on OT/IT systems and best practice procedures
• Vendor management and coordination to ensure SLA adherence for production systems
• Analyze the business processes and ensure compliance to all controlled processes according to business requirements
• Coordinate with different internal and external stakeholders along with third party vendors and ensure effective and seamless communication
• Should be flexible and enthusiastic to learn new systems

Desired Experience:
• 4-8 years engineering experience in Operational Technology and IT
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
• Experience with SCADA/PLC based control systems
• PLC/SCADA troubleshooting experience
• Python programming experience
• Prior experience in operation & maintenance support of various interdependent systems, specifically interaction between IT and OT technologies
