Production Cost Control Specialist

Production Cost Control Specialist is responsible for manufacturing cost data collection, analyzing the production actual status, and optimizing the production plan in terms of costs and manpower at an Automatic Transmission Manufacturing Facility.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and report manufacturing cost data to include manpower cost, cost of production, cost of materials, etc.
  • Propose and promote Kaizen activities based on analyzed data and trends.
  • Determine stable production standards using manpower estimation.
  • Effectively utilize lean business initiatives and resources to achieves company objectives.
  • Use Microsoft excel, word and powerpoint to communicate and present strategies to leaders
  • Manage cost saving and cost projection projects from beginning to end
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Familiar with Microsoft products (outlook, excel, powerpoint, word)
  • 1 or more years of manufacturing experience (in the automotive industry or Japanese companies is a plus).
  • 2 or more years of cost data management, manpower planning experiences is a plus.
  • Familiar with automotive standards/tools (ISO/IATF, Control Plan, and APQP).
  • Familiar with problem-solving, waste/loss prevention methods, and BOM cost breakdown.

Desired skills

  • Knowledge of lean production concepts such as JIT, OEE, KANBAN, FIFO.
  • Experienced in operation time studies.
  • Must be capable of flexibly responding to any changes in the company’s direction.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Supports a fair and productive work environment built on trust and respect of all team members.

Working conditions:

  • Able to travel (domestic and abroad) for extended business and training (up to 3 months).
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as directed.
  • Standing, walking, and bending for the hours on the shop floor.
  • Wearing safety clothes during the presence on the shop floor.
