Summary:

The Global Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a critical role in the day-to-day candidate sourcing activities and recruitment efforts within the Talent Acquisition team. This role will coordinate all the sourcing activities but also closely work together with the other recruiters, hiring managers, other members of the Talent Acquisition department, and HR.

Activities include managing the various sourcing channels and the company’s International talent pool and regularly interacting with both active and passive candidates. You should be a friendly, proactive, and self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills. This role reports to the Partner & Chief People Officer.

Essential duties and responsibilities

Sourcing (50% of role)

  • Co-develops and implements an effective sourcing strategy for both US & International management candidates.
  • Works together with the hiring manager to define candidate personas.
  • Sources suitable candidates through various sourcing channels such as LinkedIn and is actively presenting them to our Talent Acqusition recruiters to begin the interview process in the US.
  • Sources and interviews international candidates for placement in the US.
  • Drafts and sends out recruiting emails to potential candidates.
  • Has knowledge of how to use the various sourcing channels.
  • Knows how to use sourcing tools and technology such as ADP
  • Can reach out to different types of candidates and to engage with them both in the US & internationally.
  • Promotes our Employer Brand when they reach out to candidates on various platforms.
  • Can build and maintain a talent pool that can meet the company’s future hiring needs (ongoing in US & globally)
  • Keeps track of pre-defined sourcing metrics and reports on them
  • Follows up on employee referrals.
  • Ability to assist with interview process or other duties as directed by CPO.
  • Attends career fairs at Hospitality schools in US and internationally.
  • Keeps a regular cadence of communication with the Partner & Chief People Officer.

International Recruitment (50% of the role)

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the entire end-to-end recruitment processes for European, or International placements and those considering US assignments.
  • Source potential candidates through job boards and social media by posting job ads and connecting with potential candidates in France, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, UK etc. and refer them to the US based recruiters.
  • Arrange for candidates to enter the US for tastings or on-going interviews.
  • Screen and evaluate applicants based on qualifications and visa eligibility.
  • Conduct interviews in coordination with hiring managers and corporate team.
  • Handle communication between candidates/applicants and the HR department
  • Build and maintain networks of prospective candidates by attending job fairs and conferences in Europe and aligning with US Talent Team.
  • Develop relationships with managers to build awareness of their departments, hiring needs, and job specifications.
  • Utilize knowledge of multiple recruiting sources and execute innovative strategies to find quality candidates and prospect for new business.
  • Screen resumes and CVs and manage job candidates throughout hiring process, from interview preparation to final offer negotiations.
  • Maintain database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, psychology, education, business, and/or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Talent Sourcer, Recruiter, or similar role in the HR department
  • Previous management experience within the luxury/upscale hospitality industry such as a hotel or restaurant.
  • Understanding of US visa requirements such as the J1 program, E, O & H visas.
  • Demonstrate affinity with candidate sourcing and recruitment techniques.
  • Familiarity with sourcing tools, HR systems (including an ATS) and candidate management systems.
  • Must be knowledgeable of Michelin rated chefs, restaurants and award-winning hotels from Europe, Asia & South America.
  • Fluency in other languages is a huge plus such as French & Spanish.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Must be comfortable communicating with our corporate office regularly.
  • Ability to represent RDG and business with professionalism, poise and model the RDG values.
  • Proven time management, organizational, and follow-up skills, with a high comfort level initiating and responding to high volume of phone calls and emails.
  • Adept at working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a task-driven focus.
  • Commitment to a heightened sense of urgency associated with the talent acquisition processes.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to successfully troubleshoot and resolve unexpected roadblocks, barriers, and inquiries from internal and external clients.
  • Excellent relationship building capabilities with a keen ability to drive engagement within the recruiting process.
  • Mature and proactive professional judgement is vital to influence at all levels.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and visit properties as needed (new openings, open call etc.

Physical Demands And Work Environment:

  • General office assignments-(typing), which lends itself to repetitive motion.
  • Sitting in a stationary position for several hours within the day.
  • Ability to travel internationally (global entry required) on a bi-monthly basis or when needed.
