Toyoda Gosei North America (headquartered in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Temporary Corporate Planning Specialist in the Corporate Planning department. The Temporary Corporate Planning Specialist functions with a high degree of autonomy and is responsible for providing professional level support for corporate strategy development for Toyoda Gosei (TG) North America Corporation (TGNA) and TGNA Manufacturing Companies (AMCs).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create high-level communication materials and presentations for senior management
  • Support preparation of marketing materials to enhance brand awareness, e.g. company brochure, company videos, website, standard presentation etc.
  • Responsible to provide top management with regular reports on business opportunities and documents legislation that affects organization
  • Project management responsibility related to 2030 Business Plan and other activities
  • Manage translation of all company level documents to meet regional needs/requirements
  • Preparation and execution of internal and external company events
  • Manage and coordinate company activities such as Technical Shows, Ground Breaking events, Afforestation, community involvement, etc.
  • Management of internal approval process (RFA), including maintenance and any required process/policy updates
  • Management of company-wide subscriptions
  • Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts
  • Function in a highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork is crucial to organizational and individual success

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business or Communications, or equivalent years of relevant experience is required
  • Highly motivated and collaborative with a willingness to learn
  • Project management experience with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is required
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business relationships with internal and external customers
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites 2016 is required
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required
  • Effective verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills with all staff and management are required
  • Effective attention to detail, problem solving and organizational skills is required
  • Additional language proficiency (Spanish, Japanese or French) is preferred
