Hino Motors Manufacturing is an OEM that assembles trucks in West Virginia, automotive components in Arkansas, and operates a parts distribution center in California.

We are currently seeking an Interpreter/Office Administrator located in Mineral Wells/Williamstown, WV reporting directly to the HR Manager. This individual will be responsible for interpretation and translation of Japanese and English speech and documents for our Hino Team Members. Additionally, this individual will support Plant and Human Resources Administration through management of various administrative duties and activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translation for daily operating issues related to production, quality, and safety
  • Translation of technical documents and for high level executives visiting the WV plant
  • Coordination of Japanese meetings/events/tours
  • Coordination/support for relocation of expatriates (dispatchees), foreign travel for domestic team members, and US visits by HML support members
  • Support advisors with management responsibilities and foster cooperation between advisors and HMMWV staff
  • Contribute to Plant Administrative function by supporting administrative duties as needed by Plant Management and Human Resources staff.

Specific responsibilities may include:

Translation:

  • Daily translation for operating issues and work group meetings
  • Specialized translation for visiting executives from Japan and external suppliers (Japanese and American)

Event Coordination

  • Coordinate/plan all Japanese meetings, events, tours
  • Coordination includes travel arrangements, document/presentation preparation, room/table set-up/tear down, refreshment ordering/pick-up

Coordination/Support for Travel & Relocation

  • Coordination of travel arrangements for support members visiting WV plant
  • Relocation assistance for expatriates (dispatchees) including travel, US documentation, housing, utilities, etc
  • Coordination of travel arrangements for HMMWV team members traveling internationally

Advisor Support

  • Support advisors with their job/management responsibilities
  • Foster communication/cooperation between advisors and HMMWV personnel

Plant Management Support

  • Administrative support as needed by Plant Management/Human Resources
  • Includes Power Point Presentation & Excel document development

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Related Bachelor’s degree or post high school technical education.
  • Two plus years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience

Skills Required:

  • Japanese Language Mastery both written and verbal
  • English Language Mastery both written and verbal
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, excellent follow-up
  • PC skills including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint – preferably at an advanced user level
  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts

Travel Requirements: Less than 5% domestic and international travel to other plants, including Japan
