JOB SUMMARY:
The Reservationist at Zuma is responsible for managing reservations and inquiries in a professional and efficient manner. Operating from an office environment, you will provide exceptional guest service by ensuring seamless coordination of bookings, handling inquiries, and supporting the reception team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage reservations via phone, email, and online booking platforms, ensuring accurate entry of guest information into the reservation system (SevenRooms)
- Confirm, modify, or cancel reservations as requested, providing timely and professional responses to guest inquiries
- Handle large party and special event inquiries, coordinating with management and the events team as needed
- Communicate special requests, preferences, and dietary restrictions to the relevant teams, ensuring a personalized guest experience
- Maintain an organized system for tracking reservations, waitlists, and cancellations, ensuring efficient use of available seating
- Assist in creating guest profiles to enhance service and maintain accurate records of regular and VIP guests
- Provide detailed information about Zuma’s menu, dining options, and special promotions to guests during inquiries
- Collaborate with the reception and FOH teams to ensure a seamless transition of guest information and preferences
- Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary
- Stay updated on restaurant policies, menu changes, and promotional events to provide accurate information to guests
- Operate office equipment and reservation software with proficiency and accuracy
- Follow Zuma’s service standards and protocols, including uniform guidelines, grooming standards, and service etiquette
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested
JOB KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- Previous experience as a Host or similar role in a high-end restaurant, hotel, or hospitality establishment
- Experience working with SevenRooms or other reservation systems preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional phone manner
- Proficiency in reservation systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and email communication
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive work environment
- Must adhere to uniform requirement
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
