[ Your Mission ]
As the Associate Operations Manager (Warehouse), you will hold a pivotal position in our operations, supporting the efficient and organized functioning of the fulfillment operation based out of our New Jersey warehouse! Your duties will include partnering with the Warehouse Operations Manager on the meticulous execution of order fulfillment and delivery to ensure that our customers consistently receive their orders accurately and punctually. In addition, you will be responsible for managing shipping and receiving at the warehouse and making sure all databases are updated with the latest information. This role requires working 5 days a week from our Warehouse in Carlstadt, New Jersey.
[ Your Responsibilities ]
- Shipping and Receiving Management: Manage routing and shipping/receiving operations, which includes scheduling pick-ups and deliveries, processing and uploading receiving paperwork, and ensuring timely and accurate updates in company databases (Salesforce).
- Vendor and Shipping Coordination: Become an expert in vendor shipping and fulfillment guidelines and coordinate accordingly with the warehouse team to ensure all outbound orders are in compliance with guidelines, preventing chargebacks.
- Inventory Control and Systems Management: Oversee inventory control, maintaining accuracy through stock monitoring, audits, and effective inventory practices; work with Procurement to resolve discrepancies regarding inbound shipments, analyze inventory data, optimize utilization, and reduce expenses.
- Team Management: Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff for high-performance and accountability while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Project Support: Execute ad-hoc warehouse optimization projects, including organizing cycle count, inventory depletion, and food recovery efforts to support operational needs and inventory accuracy.
- Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control standards and food safety protocols for product handling and storage.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain warehouse safety, cleanliness, and compliance with regulations.

[ Your Qualifications ]
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
- +4-5 years of proven experience in a related field (logistics, operations, purchasing, procurement, shipping and receiving, etc.)
- Proficiency in inventory management and warehouse management systems (WMS), such as ShipHero
- Proficiency in using e-commerce and productivity tools such as Shopify, Notion, Slack, and Salesforce
- Strong computer knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English
- Experience working in a fast-paced, scrappy startup environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, take initiative, and thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial setting
- Experience working in the food industry. Direct relevant industry experience (retail, online grocery, mealkit, food delivery) and/or deep personal experience of Asian food products and Asian culture in the US is a plus
- Based in New Jersey, available to work 5 days in the warehouse
