Job Responsibilities:

[50%] Project management related to new store openings
[15%] Improving and managing existing store operations
[15%] New property development and contract management
[10%] Menu and sales promotion management
[10%] Store practical support

Who has the skills of a Japanese chef and sushi chef, and also has experience in accounting for food and beverage businesses in Japan.
Utilizing his cooking and accounting skills, will be responsible for managing the operation of a sushi restaurant business, managing all back-office duties including accounting, and developing the business.
Also, serve as a trainer for local employees on cooking techniques and customer service.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Culinary Arts degree or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience as a kitchen manager, head chef, or in a similar supervisory role in a restaurant, preferably a sushi or Japanese restaurant.
  • Proven experience in managing kitchen operations and leading a team.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen best practices.
  • Proficiency in kitchen management software and basic accounting.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for culinary excellence and quality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Certificates & Licenses:

  • California State Driver’s License
  • California Food Manager Certificate

Language Ability:

  • Speak, Read and Write English fluently is must
  • Japanese or Spanish bilingual skill will be plus
