Summary:
Provide mechanical engineering technical support, product training and application assistance to the region’s staff and customer base in order to advance daily sales activities; share the Corporate Engineering workload.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(1) Technical support
a. Provide technical support, information, seminar and training to customers and THK staff (new engineers, other Regional engineers, District Managers, Sales Administration Representatives, etc).
b. Support QA Department by analyzing failures and creating reports.
(2) Meet with customer for technical discussion
a. Meet or discuss with customer regarding to Mechatronics projects/issues.
b. Meet with customer regarding to troubleshooting applications.
(3) Calculation/Selection
a. Assist in product selection based on customer parameters.
b. Static/dynamic analysis of application.
c. Engineering calculations/analysis for Customers.
d. Mechanical design (3D Modeling, Drawings, Part Selection, Analysis, Calculations).
(4) Documents/Report
a. Prepare and manage engineering documentation on all projects.
b. Create instruction manuals, technical reports.
c. Submit a monthly report on engineering activities and visits.
d. Create seminar documents as needed.
e. Create engineering reports on applications and other relevant technical information to Sales department, upper management, includes THK Japan.
(5) Others
a. Attend and participate in Engineering meetings.
b. Attend and assist during trade shows.
c. Work on Corporate Engineering projects to help increase individual skill and the level of THK Engineering.

Discount levels, etc.) business strategy and any other information deemed confidential by THK management.
Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of Engineering basics (Statics, Dynamics). Knowledge of electric material helpful.
- Ability to read, write and understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing on CAD drawings.
- Excellent written, verbal, customer service and public speaking skills
- Good command of Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes. SolidWorks, AutoCad or similar proficiency.
Education/Field
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
Experience/Field
- 0-3 years mechanical engineering experience
Language Skills
- Read, write and understand English essential, Japanese helpful but not required.
- Technical (symbols, verbiage, basics of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) reading and writing.
Mathematical Skills
- Understanding of Engineering Fundamentals. Metric/English conversions.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to logically and accurately apply engineering principles to various situations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. Ability to manage and prioritize various tasks.
- Absorb and carry out instructions and training, and also apply to various situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Valid Driver’s License, Engineer In Training (EIT) preferred
