Job Description
The Gashapon Catalog Specialist plays a key role in forecasting, purchasing and overall inventory and asset management. This coordinator position will support Gashapon business development by managing instock product and equipment as well as coordinating purchasing processes based on existing and new tracking and forecast tool creation. They will also support Sales via customer facing catalog creation and updates as well as overall Capsule Machine Business Development and new location launches as a key member of a dedicated Gashapon business team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Take direction from manager(s) on a daily basis and assist/perform work-related brand management duties as assigned
- Tracking and updates on all product and asset inventory
- Inventory optimization tool creation and updates based on Gashapon location expansion plans
- Catalog project ownership with weekly updates
- Assist in creation of sales support materials such as order sheets and product presentation decks
- Support solicitation, pre-order and production process via creation of support documents and analysis as well as information entry into production requisition forms as assigned by Brand Managers
- Organize and create forecasting tools for both product and assets (Gashapon machines, tokens, POS systems and more
- Work with Sales Specialist to communicate inventory availability
- Support creation of customer facing instock catalogs
- Coordinate with Supply Chain Management Teams and other logistics management on Toy team for import arrangement and tracking
- Coordinate with Finance teams for purchasing new assets
- As part of Gashapon Business team support when needed for new location launches as well as spot activations and events
- Other administrative duties including preserving digital filing systems/sharepoint updates, coordinating multiple schedules for meetings, preparing & distributing meeting agendas and notes, and working with multiple departments in the company

JOB REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. University Graduate or Associate Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE AND WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced Proficiency in Excel
- Experience with inventory management, logistics, catalog management and forecasting/analysis
- Advanced Math – Able to use basic mathematical and algebraic processes such as fractions, ratios, equations, and proportions.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with vendors, and team members
- Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
- Japanese Level: Business Level Proficient. (JLPT N1 level or higher preferred)
