    SUMMARY
    Develop, coordinate, and manage all sales and SCM aspects of day-to-day operations/transactions for Toyota Battery Manufacture North Carolina (TBMNC) and surrounding customers. Propose new sales activities and business schemes and gain technical experience in the battery sector, including cell materials, cell components, module components, and pack components. Identify and excavate new technologies for TAI to develop business in new battery fields. Solve problems in consultation with supervisors. Ensure continuous improvement in safety, sales, quality, productivity, and financial performance.
    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops business by acquiring and leveraging technical knowledge of the battery field.
    • Develop sales of products and/or services by researching and resolving customer issues, researching and recommending vendors, recommending changes to product/service lines, and coordinating sales negotiations with appropriate personnel.
    • Travel regularly to communicate with customers and vendors (both existing and prospective) regarding product purchases and sales.
    • Customers may be domestic or international, requiring familiarity with transportation, warehousing, and marketing essential to imports/exports.
    • Work with customers, vendors, and relevant internal departments to execute the logistical and system set-up necessary to deliver products to customers.
    • Build trusting relationships with customers and vendors
    • Processes customer inquiries and orders and expedites the delivery of products and/or services
    • A fully competent performer
    • Controlling Inventory & scheduling shipments
    • Under supervision, performs work that is varied and may be somewhat difficult in nature but involves limited responsibility for final decision
    • Knows and applies fundamental concepts and procedures
    • Japanese speaking preferred.
    • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

    EDUCATION & SKILLS REQUIRED

    Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain. Management, Sales, Marketing, Finance, or Economics. 3 to 6 years of related experience in the Automotive industry with experience in Customer Service/Technical Sales is preferred. Experience dealing with chemical/automotive/international trading/ logistics and warehouse. Logistic knowledge & Business Development experience is a plus. Technical knowledge/experience in battery fields is a plus.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Must read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Good verbal/written communication skills. Ability to comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Good analytical skills. Japanese speaking is preferred.
