We’re looking for a passionate and motivated EMC Engineer to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of vehicle electronics.

    Who We’re Looking For:
    We’re seeking an experienced and driven EMC Engineer to ensure electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) across all vehicle electronic systems. This role is crucial for developing, testing, and refining the systems that power eShocan vehicles while maintaining compliance with all EMC standards. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to support the development of innovative vehicle electronics and systems that enhance the customer experience. Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

    What You’ll Be Doing:

    • Lead and execute vehicle-level EMC evaluations, ensuring all tests meet coverage requirements while collaborating with project and leadership teams.
    • Serve as the primary EMC engineering point of contact, resolving technical conflicts and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
    • Contribute to design reviews and noise-related evaluations with R&D teams to ensure effective EMC solutions.
    • Utilize EMC simulation tools and performance prediction technologies to accelerate the vehicle development process, minimizing the need for prototypes.
    • Identify and close gaps in component and vehicle EMC validation methods.
    • Innovate and improve EMC laboratory processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput.
    • Drive continuous improvements in EMC practices and support the development of future strategies to enhance overall technical capability.

    What You Bring:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent).
    • Experience: Proven experience in electronics circuit design and a solid understanding of automotive components, including accessory electronics and actuators.
    • Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.
    • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural, cross-functional environment and across various organizational levels.
    • Other: A valid U.S. driver’s license and strong written and verbal communication skills.

    Bonus Points If You Have:

    • An advanced degree or specialized training in EMC.
    • Expertise in EMC evaluation specifications and technical reporting.
    • minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in the EMC field.
    • Proficiency in Japanese language.
    • An eShocan Middle Class Driver’s License.
