AADS Decision Analytics Internship Overview:
You will be part of a growing and dynamic Advanced Analytics and Data Sciences (AADS) team of data science professionals whose main goal is to help our marketing, finance, and business leadership partners achieve improve patient lives through advanced data analytics. you will have the opportunity to apply cutting-edge analytical techniques to real-world business challenges, gaining invaluable experience and contributing to impactful projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business teams to identify, scope, and execute analytic efforts that answer questions, address challenges, and add value. Examples include estimating identifying barriers to care, simulating markets, and optimizing resources.
- Suggesting innovations to current approaches and possible future projects.
- Communication of insights to empower key stakeholders to inform decision-making.
- Maintain a broad understanding of finance, marketing and other strategic functions and be fully engaged with business teams, bringing an objective voice to the table, and facilitating decisions grounded in data.
- Collaborate with other analytics team members to review and provide feedback on the analytics work being done and be willing to seek feedback from other team members about your own work.
- Visualization creation with R Shiny/ Tableau/ Power BI.
- Stay current with respect to data science methodology, to maintain proficiency in applying new and varied methods, and to be competent in justifying methods selected.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in and attending school. PhD student with at least three years of completed graduate work in Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Mathematics/Applied Math, or closely related field.
Desired Experience:
- Knowledge of data science methods and tools
- Machine learning algorisms and supervised methods
- Neural Networks and deep learning methods
- Clustering and other unsupervised techniques
- Path and graph analysis, graph Neural Networks
- Computer Vision
- Causal inference models
- Proficiency in analytical tools like programming (Python or R) and database knowledge (SQL)
- Interpersonal communication skills for effective influence
