Job Description
MBK Real Estate is hiring a Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our accounting team at our Home Office in Irvine, CA!

This role will be hybrid with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Coordinator reports to the Accounts Payable Supervisor and will perform traditional accounts payable responsibilities ranging from invoice review and approval, check processing, vendor account review and reconciliation, Concur expense report review and approval, training of partners in the field on AP processes, DSSI invoice review and approval, and credit applications. This position is responsible for the accounts payable invoices and related support of approximately 12 senior living properties (communities).

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • N/A

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Able to review and approve 400-500 invoices weekly
  • Reviewing and verifying the G/L account code of invoices for accuracy
  • Verify use of correct vendor, invoice number, invoice date, workflow/expense type, and amount
  • Able to prepare and process checks for multiple companies and prepare Fed Ex packages for those checks and other items that may go to the communities on Friday’s
  • Audit and verify expense reports in Concur
  • Reconcile vendor statements/accounts ensuring they are zeroing out every month and working with communities to keep vendor accounts current
  • Yardi/Concur processing training of Business Office Managers, Lead Concierge’s, and Executive Directors
  • Review of the related Amazon accounts to see if any skipped invoices need to be processed for my communities and notify Business Operation Managers as necessary.
  • Support for on-site staff (Executive Directors and Business Operation Managers) as necessary on Accounts Payable related matters.
  • Maintain credit reference sheets and complete credit applications for your communities
  • Help assigned Senior Living Communities troubleshoot AP/vendor related issues
  • Perform special projects as assigned

Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.

Experience Requirements (in years):

  • 3 years of relevant experience as an Accounts Payable Coordinator required.

Required Competencies/Licenses/Certifications:

  • Intermediate to advanced level of experience with Microsoft Excel required.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in managing goals through collaboration and teamwork
  • Ability to reconcile vendor statements, including revolving credit accounts
  • Detail oriented and organized in work
  • Proactive and independent, self-motivated
  • Flexible and enthusiastic

Preferred Experience:

  • Proficiency in Yardi accounting software
  • Associate’s degree in business administration
  • Real Estate or Property Management industry experience

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Must be mobile and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, bending, kneeling, stooping, pushing, pulling and repetitive motion.
  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time.
  • Able to move intermittently throughout the workday.

Pay Range: $25-$28/hr
