    What we are looking for:

    Yazaki is looking for a Automotive Sales Operations Specialist to join our Sales Management team in Canton, MI. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization.

    As an Automotive Operations Sales Specialist in the Sales Management Division, you will play a crucial role in driving commercial excellence and performance management. This position will collaborate closely with the Business Unit Commercial Team, leveraging your deep knowledge of automotive industry trends, building strong relationships with industry experts and ultimately to ensure the commercial success of our enterprise.

    What you will be doing:

    • Create and Manage Data Repository: Develop and maintain a comprehensive data repository, including enterprise business/program portfolio profiles, RFQ and commercial management processes, and commercial databases such as OEM T&C, best practices, commercial models, and market data.
    • Commercial Recovery Negotiation: Collaborate with the Business Unit and Cross-Functional Teams to support commercial recovery negotiations.
    • Sales Management Forum: Lead the sales management forum to discuss best practices, industry trends, and business unit needs.
    • Industry Insight and Networking: Stay informed on OEM strategies and industry trends by attending automotive conferences, actively participating in and networking with automotive associations, and supporting BU leadership.
    • Executive Event Coordination: Coordinate and support executive events, including timing plans, presentation materials, and other assigned projects.
    • New Business Endorsement and Board Approval: Lead the new business endorsement and board approval process, including creating processes, validation, and coordinating weekly meeting cadences.
    • Mid-Term Plan Support: Assist in the creation of the annual Mid-Term Plan.

    What you will bring to the table:

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Finance or Economics
    • >3 years’ experience in automotive industry, commercial function, Sales Account Management or strategic planning
    • Excellent financial, analytical, negotiation, communication and presentation skills. Passionate and understands the automotive industry and its trends
    • Domestic/International travel may be required
    • Fluency in English required; Fluency in Spanish or Japanese is very beneficial
    • Microsoft Office, Power BI, Power App, CRM toolset
    • Proficiency in organization, communication, planning, decision making, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
