Salary range for position: $65,000 to $95,000 commensurate with experience.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Supports Production efforts by coordinating the planning, purchasing, management for the supply chain at the Santa Clara Site. Also supports the Engineering Team as they develop new products and ready’s them for release to production.
- KNOWLEDGE & APPLICATION: Develops professional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues. Determines a course of action based on guidelines and modifies processes and methods as required.
- JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of moderate scope which are often varied and routine where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Applies learned techniques and contributes to analysis and investigation to solve problems. Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
- COLLABORATION: Builds productive internal/external working relationships to resolve mutual problems by collaborating on procedures or transactions. Focuses on providing standard professional advice and creating initial reports/analyzes for review by experienced team professionals.
- EXPERIENCE: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Support production efforts by coordinating the planning and purchasing of parts required for various levels of production and prototype builds.
- Manage and maintain inventory levels ensuring uninterrupted supply of parts while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Development, management and sustainment of key purchasing indicators such as OTD, open orders, zero bin, machine down, etc.
- Place routine and repetitive purchase orders, utilizing the formal ERP/MRP system.
- Work with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice reconciliation issues
- Partner with key stakeholders within the organization to forecast, understand the demand, evaluate inventory levels, and take orders from within the organization.
- Negotiate directly with vendors to get the best possible pricing and payment options.
- Build relationships with suppliers and manage their performance.
- Acts as the liaison between internal customers and suppliers for all supply chain duties within the respective scope.
