An ORBCOMM Country Leader is a strategic, consultative business driver who leads revenue growth by aligning customer needs with ORBCOMM’s innovative IoT solutions. In this role, you’ll define the commercial strategy for Japan, build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, and deliver measurable business outcomes that position ORBCOMM as the preferred solutions partner.

This role can be held remotely in Japan.

What You’ll Do:

  • Market Leadership: Develop and execute the sales strategy for Japan, aligned with ORBCOMM’s global vision.

  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with enterprise customers, understanding their business goals and translating them into actionable solutions.
  • Revenue Growth: Identify and pursue high-value opportunities, ensuring profitable growth and long-term customer success.
  • Solution Selling: Partner with technical teams to design scalable, secure IoT solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Forecasting & Reporting: Deliver accurate sales forecasts, monitor performance against targets, and provide insights into market trends and competitor activity.
  • Team Collaboration: Work cross-functionally to optimize processes, share best practices, and mentor team members for peak performance.
  • Business Management: Lead in-country cross functional resources to ensure ORBCOMM’s is efficiently executing all aspects of our business in Japan.
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of emerging technologies and market dynamics to position ORBCOMM as a leader in IoT and asset visibility.

Key Skills and Focus Areas:

  • Strategic thinking and ability to drive transformation initiatives.

  • Strong consultative sales skills in technology-driven industries (IoT, SaaS, or similar).
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with executive, technical, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Business acumen to define strategy and execute a growth plan to link technology capabilities to measurable business outcomes.

Who You Are:

You’re a strategic thinker with a knack for excellence, ready to tackle multiple priorities with agility and grace. If you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • 8-10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, ideally in IoT or technology solutions.
  • Fluent in Japanese and English (verbal and written).
  • Proven ability to manage complex enterprise accounts and deliver revenue growth.
  • Willingness to travel within Japan and internationally as needed.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to support daily tasks and productivity.
  • Commitment to continuous learning in digital and AI literacy.
