The pay range is from $20.00 – $25.00 per hour depending on experience. The work schedule will consist of approximately 25-30 hours a week, Monday through Friday. This position is not eligible for employee benefits.

Primary Responsibilities

The HR Assistant supports of the day-to-day operations of the human resources function. The incumbent carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruiting, staffing, organization development, company policies and procedures, employee relations, training, labor law, benefits, safety. This is an entry level position.

Essential Functions

• Recruiting and staffing
• Performance management
• Employee relations
• Company employee communication
• Benefits administration and record keeping
• Employee files and HR filing
• Responds to employee’s inquiries and assists employees with any issues or concerns
• Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested
• Maintains the employee annual review process
• Designs and revises company policies and procedures
• Creates schedules weekly for the staff through scheduling software

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Attention to detail and high level of confidentiality.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Human Resources.
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be computer savvy
• Must be able to work 4-6 hours a day (depends on operation needs), 3-5 days a week.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office- Excel, Word.
• Ability to multitask and effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.

Job Type: Part-time.

Internship accepted (Flexible work hours and can be tailored around class schedule).
