The Co-op will be assigned a project affording them the opportunity to actively contribute to the development of processes and technologies for manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients and build a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and the role engineers play in creating solutions for Eli Lilly and Company. Co-ops will interact with other engineering professionals, including Lilly senior management. At the conclusion of each work period, the co-op will present their project highlights and findings to Engineering and Manufacturing Professionals & Sr Leadership.

Additional Responsibilities include:
• Working in our Engineering Tech Center Lab on the development of process steps and platforms in support of the manufacturing network.
• Assisting in the advancement of the continuous improvement and technical agendas of our current molecules and processes.
• Advancing the optimization of our next generation API platforms from lab work and modeling
• Optimization of molecules for commercial scale

Basic Requirements:
• Currently enrolled in and attending school, in a graduate-level curriculum leading to a Master’s degree in a MS Chemical Engineering program
• Graduating by August 2027

• Communication (oral and written) Skills
• Information Monitoring Skills, Quality Orientation, Teamwork/Interpersonal Skills, Previous internship experience within the pharmaceutical industry or other relevant research experience.

Additional Information:
• Travel 1 – 10 %
• The Co-op position is a temporary position that last for 12 CONTINUOUS months beginning in January or August of 2025.
• This position is not permanent. It is for a fixed term position up to a maximum of 1 year.
