Who we’re looking for:
Toyota’s Electronic Systems Technician group is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Technician Co-Op to support the evaluation of vehicle electronics performances.
The primary responsibility of this role is to is to support evaluation engineers by running defined tests and troubleshooting activities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Evaluate all vehicle electronic system designs to ensure safety and compatibility within their electrical environments.
- Collaborate with engineers daily in the planning and implementation of vehicle evaluations and experiments, delivering quality data and reporting.
- Conduct evaluations with an excellent safety mindset.
- Share jobs across functions to balance workload and improve capability.
- Learn, collaborate, and work with a team of highly skilled engineering technicians and engineers.
What you’ll bring:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Automotive, Electronics or Technology related majors.
- A mindset that prioritizes safety.
- Lifelong learner with an emphasis on continually improving yourself and your skills.
- Intrigued by/curious about how vehicle systems work and new technologies.
- Highly organized, proficient in documenting and communicating data and issues accurately, including technical writing and reporting.
- Skilled in the use of hand and shop tools to build test fixtures, disassemble and assemble vehicles.
- Ability to read an electrical schematic/drawing.
Added bonus:
- Knowledge and ability to interpret and write software code.
- Experience in research, scientific methodologies, design and set experiments, data analysis.
- Japanese Language Skills
