About Us:
Established in 1988, Kubota Manufacturing of America (KMA) is headquartered in Gainesville, Georgia. When KMA began operations in 1988 the first products manufactured were implements. Due to our rapid growth, in 2005 a new company was opened in Jefferson, Georgia. This company now manufactures all tractor implements and performs reassembly of Kubota tractors built in Japan for sale in the U.S. markets. We are making improvements to our production systems and building an innovative but flexible manufacturing structure under our unique culture of a joint U.S. and Japanese leadership team. Through these measures, we are strengthening the operations at our production facilities with the aim of continuing to produce high-quality products.
About the Position:
We are looking for a passionate and driven intern to join our dynamic safety and environmental team for a 12-week internship. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience to contribute to real-world projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Policy Development: Creating, implementing, and updating safety policies and procedures to comply with regulations and industry standards.
- Risk Assessment: Conducting regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and evaluate the effectiveness of safety measures.
- Training and Education: Providing training programs for employees on safety practices, emergency procedures, and environmental regulations to promote a culture of safety.
- Incident Investigation: Investigating workplace accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations, including reporting and documentation requirements.
- Environmental Management: Developing and implementing programs to manage waste, reduce emissions, and promote sustainability within the organization.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in fields related to safety and environmental studies.
- Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, self-motivation to produce high quality work.
- Ability and desire to learn and grow professionally.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
