In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed project plans within our Molecular Diagnostics Engineering group, where we create new instruments and consumables for the point of care market. You will be managing design transfers to instrument contract manufacturers and working directly with suppliers for consumable component manufacturing (injection molders, converters, etc). You will also be working with a variety of engineering sub teams across Software/Firmware, Electrical, Mechanical, and Systems engineering to facilitate alignment and manage a variety of deliverables across disciplines. Additionally, you will need to be familiar with Jira to aid in open item prioritization, assignment, and harmonizing sub team priorities and goals. You will also be summarizing progress and reporting on project progress to program and company leadership.

To be successful in this role, you must have 5+ years of experience as a practicing engineer. Also, you must possess 5+ years beyond that experience as a Project Manager. You will also be an expert with planning and tracking skills, capable of managing multiple projects, well organized, and have excellent time management skills. You will also possess strong leadership skills, with ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.

Experience with Japanese culture is desirable. PMP certification is a plus.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $120,000 – $145,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
