Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$151,500 – $222,200

Purpose:

The Senior Director, Clinical Trial Foundations Community Based Research Integration, has an influential leadership role in ensuring the success of community-based research implementation through leadership with regulatory/policy, external engagement, metrics coordination, etc. This role will partner with capability leads, regulatory policy to ensure a strong understanding of the external environment across the globe, including identifying where barriers may exist and developing strategies to influence change. This role will play a key role in measuring success, participating in benchmarking activities and developing internal and external communications strategies related to overall progress. Additionally, this role will partner where necessary to help drive the continued uptake of capabilities into the design and execution of our studies.

  • Strategically partner across the CDDA to lead shared learning in this space, based on both internal data and external landscape
    • Play a strategic role in coordinating a regulatory strategy for implementation of community-based capabilities in the US and for the expansion to OUS.
    • Lead the effort to measure applications of novel capabilities across the portfolio and development/enhancement of the current and new capabilities by developing and tracking appropriate metrics and dashboards.
    • Monitor and influence external environment landscape, through TransCelerate, CTTI etc.
    • This role may have also have some process ownership and or system ownership as appropriate.
    • This role will partner where necessary to help drive the continued uptake of capabilities into the design and execution of our studies.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of experience in clinical drug development with experience in 3+ of the following areas: Clinical Design, Clinical Capabilities, Clinical Development, Quality, Project Management.

Other Information/Additional Preferences:

  • Demonstrated people development and leadership.
  • Experience in, and/or leading diverse groups across the drug development value chain.
  • Broad understanding of pharmaceutical drug development process, including deep knowledge of GxP regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to set and implement strategies and plans to improve complex drug development processes through process and technology optimization.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MSc, PhD, PharmD) in a scientific or health care field.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver both strategic and tactical plans.
  • Knowledge of emerging decentralized capabilities for medical research.
  • A deep understanding of quality systems and process management.
  • Proven ability to influence cross functionally without direct authority.
  • Ability to take and defend positions on difficult business issues.
  • Proven ability to adjust quickly and effectively to changing business priorities and needs.
