Overview

As our Warehouse Screen Printer, you will be responsible for operating Ad Specialty Equipment and producing customer specific decorated product. Cleaning, reclaiming, and performing other screen maintenance as needed. Using the exposure unit and developing screens and plates. Wages start at $16 per hour for this seasonal, full-time, day shift position at our Omaha (108th & I Street) location with the hours of 6am-2:30pm.

Detailed Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions

1. Operate Ad Specialty equipment
2. Unpack and repack printed product
3. Responsible for all related pre-press, printing and button making functions
4. Quality control of printed items
5. Clean screens and remove ink residue and tape from the screens
6. Process designated screens with reclaiming solution to remove stencil emulsion or film, applies haze remover to remove ghosting and degrease new or reclaimed screens
7. Perform screen maintenance to include removing damaged screen mesh, prepare screen frame, select and cut mesh to size, stretch screen mesh across the screen to required tension specification, and adhere mesh to screens
8. Position film positives, expose, and develop screen or plate
9. Tape and block out perimeter of the screen
10. Check for and repair pinholes on the screen
11. Utilize personnel protective devices and other safety equipment as required for personnel safety
12. Properly dispose of hazardous waste
13. Train ASI processes upon request
14. Maintain a clean and safe work station
15. Maintains regular and predictable attendance
16. Abide by all policies and procedures of Oriental Trading Company
17. May be required to perform any of the above functions at any of the company locations

Marginal Functions

1. Support other MC areas as needed
2. Perform minor preventive maintenance or troubleshooting
3. Perform other related duties and projects as assigned

• Proven analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
• General PC experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work independently with an eye for detail
• Detail oriented and ability to work in a highly productive environment in a safe manner

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience

• Prior experience with printing preferred

Other Qualifications

• The ability to climb stairs, walk and stand for the duration of the shift
• The ability to occasionally lift and move 35 – 50 pounds
