About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Sales Associate supporting our Japan based institutional Fixed Income investors. Performs a variety of tasks for moderately complex to complex transactions or processes that require in-depth knowledge of institutional brokerage products and services. Monitors and tracks referrals and sales results. Takes and executes solicited/unsolicited investment orders.

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in less complex initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements within Securities Sales
  • Review and analyze basic business and operational objectives that require research and evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide medium risk deliverables
  • Present recommendations for clients and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal and external customers
  • Receive direction from leaders
  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Securities Sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Fluent in Japanese
  • Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills in both English & Japanese
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong technical and analytical skills including financial analysis
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Solid problem solving and decision making skills

Job Expectations:

  • Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for FINRA Series 7 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
  • Registration for Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
  • Valid US passport or eligible for L1 Visa. H1 B considered.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$133,300.00 – $237,100.00
