Description

FIC America Corporation is seeking a Stamping Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair a variety stamping machines and equipment. Assist manager with ordering parts, standardizing components, and maintaining inventories.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform regular checks or tests on manufacturing equipment for proper operation
• Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair machinery and equipment
• Dissemble machinery and equipment and replace defective parts / components
• Reassemble machinery and equipment and make final adjustments
• Confer with Tool & Die Maker to fabricate tooling parts and components as required
• Coordinate with Localization to fabricate tooling parts and components as required
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, such as grinders, torches, hammers, and wrenches
• Test machines after repair to ensure proper operation
• Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment routinely
• Order repair parts as needed
• Record and maintain data of checks, tests, repairs, and daily reports
• Work closely with production personnel on equipment repairs
• Complete and satisfactorily pass forklift operator training provided by the company
• Follow standard work instructions
• Perform other duties assigned

Other Job Functions

• Comply with FIC’s Safety policies and procedures
• Comply with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standards
• Perform 5-S activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment
• 3+ years of related experience with heavy industrial machines/production machines
• Experience with safe operation of overhead Cranes & heavy loads
• Must be able to speak and read basic English to comply with position, Safety, Plant & PPE procedures & requirements
• Must be willing to cross-train
• Must be able to work company’s required overtime
• Must comply with FIC’s Attendance and Punctuality Policy
