    Job purpose

    Coordinate the flow of work and material according to the production schedule to meet Customer Requirements while maintaining efficiency in the process.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Prepare, Maintain, and Publish production packaging schedules to meet customer requirements while minimizing changeovers and managing potential overload.
    • Create / maintain accurate process for computer modeling packaging and format schedules in a way that fully links to DNP-Concord master production schedules.
    • Publish the production plan at the agreed upon cadence.
    • Revise production schedules as required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlog, demand shift, or other potential interruption while collaborating with involved parties to minimize impact. (i.e. Management, Customer Service, Sales, Production Leadership, etc.)
    • Ensure capacity is available to meet or exceed plan based on labor and machine availability.
    • Compile and prepare documentation related to production sequencing (Product Families) to minimize change and help drive efficiency on the floor. Create a uniform system to identify “like” items and batch manufacture when possible based on family.
    • Compile KPI’s, such as production rate, progress to plan, material availability vs demand, Line or Machine change history, and customer score cards to present in Management and process meetings while maintaining historical files.
    • Maintain records of original delivery request date / quantities, delivery commitments, and modifications.
    • Communicate data accuracy concerns regarding master data for parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies within the ERP System (Including but not limited to: Material routing, Min / Max stock levels, safety stock, Lead Time, Method of Manufacturing, Yield, and Waste Factors.
    • Create Bill of Material sequencing rules to drive uniformity across all Manufactured media.
    • Work in conjunction with multiple departments to ensure the quality of goods, process efficiency, On time shipping, and communication of changes to upline management.
    • Communicate with internal and external customers to confirm and coordinate shipping activities to resolve complaints or eliminate delays. Project, communicate and work to resolve likely late deliveries.
    • Cross Train with production schedulers to ensure a deep understanding of the full converting process and serve as a backup for both Card and Photo Business.
    • Scheduling and management of Work Orders in Epicor ERP to ensure accurate signals are sent to involved parties.
    • For all the above: Find root cause of failures, recommend process improvements, and support efforts to improve processes.
    • Support onsite transaction accuracy and year-end inventory activity.
    • Participate in projects and other activities as required by the manager.
    • Other duties assigned by management.

    Qualifications

    • Preferred: Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
    • Knowledge of production control or inventory control software such as Epicor, etc.
    • Three to five years of production control experience in manufacturing is desired.
    • Power BI experience preferred.
    • Strong computer skills and intermediate to advanced excel skills required
    • Bilingual is a plus, Japanese preferred or link to existing or potential labor force

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

    • Ability to work in an office setting, and spend primary working hours at a desk using a computer and other office equipment such as printers, copiers, postage machines, etc.

    Safety Requirements

    Ability to wear required PPE if in any manufacturing area.

    The hiring range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 per year. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications.
