Description

We are a Japanese owned Tier 1 automotive components manufacturer centrally located in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. Our manufacturing operation supports metal stamping, welding and mechanical assembly. We are actively searching for a bilingual (Japanese/English) interpreter/translator to join the team.

• Provide Japanese interpretation and translation
• Translate information from Japanese to English and vice versa as necessary
• Prepare reports, presentations, and memos by hand or using software
• Perform general administrative duties, using Microsoft Office Suite and other systems
• Follow standard work instructions
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Work on ad hoc projects

Other Job Functions

• Comply with FIC’s Safety policies and procedures
• Comply with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 procedures and standards
• Perform 5-S activities

Requirements

• 1+ years of Japanese/English Interpreting/Translating experience
• Must be fluent in both written and spoken Japanese
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbally
• Must be willing to cross-train
• Must be able to work company’s required overtime
• Must comply with FIC’s Attendance and Punctuality Policy

Pay Range $62,000 – $80,000 year, based on qualifications and experience
