Job Description:

We are seeking a Sushi Chefto join our team. As a key member of the Eau Palm Beach team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. Responsibilities will include planning, prepping, setting up and providing quality service in all areas of food production for menu items. This candidate will also maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.

This position is a FLEX (AM / PM) position, and all candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights. We have a full-time position available.

Essential Qualifications:

• Must have read, write legibly, understand, and speak English.
• Must have advanced reading and mathematical skills.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation, techniques, and kitchen equipment.
• Strong knowledge of Japanese seafood, fish, products, and terminology.
• Knowledge of weights, measures, and recipe yields.
• Advanced knife skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• At least 2 years of sushi bar working experience in high-volume cooking.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize, organizes, delegate work and follow through.
• Ability to be a clear thinker, remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment.
• Ability to work well under pressure of meeting production schedules and timelines for guests’ orders.
• Ability to maintain good coordination
