Description
CEPTON, a leading intelligent lidar solution provider, is seeking an Operations Specialist to assist our operations department with purchase orders and shipping logistics.
The Operations Specialist will report directly to our Sr. Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
What You Will Do:
- Place purchase orders for manufacturing and engineering departments.
- Order placement and contact vendors to confirm the order.
- Enter data into ERP software.
- Review deliveries against the orders to ensure accuracy, track the status of all orders.
- Reconcile purchases against payment records, etc.
- Assist the accounting department with vendor bills.
- Help the shipping department to create shipments and follow up on shipment progress.
- Enter receiving data in ERP system.
- Collaborate with different vendors to ensure on-time delivery.
- Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) Processing
- Work closely with the technical support team/BD to facilitate replacements or repairs.
- Handle RMA requests from customers, addressing inquiries and guiding them through the RMA process.
- Work with our internal teams to evaluate returned products for quality and compliance with RMA policies.
- Weekly meeting with manufacture/customer support
- Update Asana and input all RMA related information.
- Create RMAREQ in NS for receipt of RMA.
- Create SO for RMA for releasing items to the customer.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or other applicable fields
- Professional working proficiency in Japanese is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software and generally good computer skills
- Highly focused and detail-oriented
- Time management and prioritization skills

Location:
- Cepton Headquarters – San Jose, CA.
- Some local on-site visits to key customers.
- Travel to regional customer sites and support trade shows and conferences if needed.

The pay range for this role is $68,640-$75,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
