Overview of the role

As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of Snowfox’s products. This role will oversee supplier management, seafood sustainability, food safety audit reviews, as well as monitor and ensure high-quality standards in production, inspect processes and outputs, analyze data, communicate with external officers, and maintain records.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintaining compliance: Ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies
  • Maintaining food safety supplier management system
  • Ensuring sustainability targets are met, following the Group directions
  • Developing quality control: Creating and implementing policies and standards for the company to follow
  • Inspecting: Inspecting processes and output, and documentation
  • Analyzing data: Assessing operational data (internal and external audits) and identifying quality problems
  • Communicating: Communicating quality standards to the QA team and other relevant departments, such as product development
  • Training: Training new employees in quality control processes and policies
  • QA managers should have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team setting and have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Serve as the Food Safety Program Coordinator, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) Coordinator.
  • Assist the Research & Development team with formulation adjustments, product evaluations, and product launch activities.
  • Assist with weekends, holiday and outside working hours as needed.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science/Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering or another related field
  • 5+ Years of experience in food industry environment
  • 2+ Years of experience managing people/projects
  • Must have knowledge and experience in Seafood sustainability and its certification.
  • Must have knowledge and experience in Supplier management.
  • Food Safety certification: HACCP, Seafood HACCP, ServSafe Manager certification or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of food safety, food microbiology, manufacturing processes, food regulations, sanitary design and quality management.
  • Experience or proven ability to apply science-based technical knowledge to critical food safety programs (e.g. CCP and preventative control validations, etc.).
  • Computer literate with proficiency in, but not limited to: Microsoft Office Applications, Visio, etc.
  • Proficient in problem solving techniques
  • Experience in food recall is a plus.
  • Project management experience. This includes planning, scheduling and coordinating teams and activities to completion.
  • Ability to work and interact effectively with other departments in the organization
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment with respect and sensitivity for diversity
  • Detail-Oriented with Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to use data for creative problem solving experience using statistical software packages

Minimum USD Salary: 60,000
Maximum USD Salary: 65,000
