Location:
- Chicago Food Factory – 2136 S. Peoria St. Chicago, Illinois, 60608 | Note: this location operates 7 days a week.
Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations in the warehouse to ensure that all duties are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety-conscious behavior.
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees. This includes scheduling, monitoring, and managing operations.
- Develop and monitor warehouse operations through ERP and associated systems.
- Oversee daily operations, controlling and managing inventory, logistics, and warehouse activities.
- Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, and shipping.
- Schedule and oversee the warehouse team to meet the demands of fulfillment, managing the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency.
- Communicate with relevant teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers and internal facilities.
- Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are well understood and consistently followed.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures in compliance with legal regulations and company policies.
- Available to work various shifts and weekends as needed.
Qualifications:
- Post Secondary diploma/degree in warehouse management or a comparable education/training.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in management
- Leadership skills to create an engaged, motivated, and high-performing team.
- Excellent communication skills
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritize projects and process multiple tasks as required.
- Proficient in the development of clean and up-to-date procedural documentation.
- Knowledge of MS Office Package (Outlook, Excel, Word), and ERP System.
