The Senior Director, GSC Systems and Solutions is accountable for business operations oversight, including ensuring reliable metrics to drive actions and decisions, coordinating the functional business plan, and leading implementation of the functional vendor strategy. The role is also responsible for serving as the program manager of the GSC automation and technology agenda and manages the GSC systems.

Business Operations and Transformation Oversight
- Coordinates functional business plan and LRL/company reporting obligations for the function.
- Ensures GSC has current data and tools to forecast and track budget and capacity to enable efficient and agile resource allocation to deliver the portfolio of work.
- Coordinates analysis of business process measurements to continuously improve efficiency, process performance, and to advise innovation and continuous improvement strategies across the function.
- Provide program management for the GSC automation and technology agenda, ensuring appropriate project management for each initiative, including budget/resources, timelines, risks, and measurement plans are integrated across the agenda, consistently reviewed, and reported to leadership, project teams, and stakeholders.
- Lead vendor engagement, functional oversight, and resource allocation for the GSC function.
GSC System Management
- Accountable for system ownership, stewardship, and security, ensuring stability and sustainability, and driving improvements to address future business needs.
- Ensures the appropriate access and security processes are in place, maintained, and evolving in alignment with Protect Lilly framework and applicable policies and procedures.
- Reports data accuracy and timeliness to GSC leadership, recommending corrective actions to increase the quality of data vital to drive efficiency and increased productivity in the function globally.
- Responsible for monitoring and continually improving system performance through the collection and analysis of key metrics, feedback from internal business partners and team members, and engaging with professional organizations.
- Drives continuous improvement in technology and process solutions that enable integrated data and analytics capabilities to impact productivity, efficiency gains, and user experience.
People Management and Development
- Recruit, develop, and retain a strategic and operationally capable talent skilled and knowledgeable in technology applied to scientific communications processes and capabilities.
- Build an organizational culture that fosters behaviors to be bold, fast, and clear and embeds diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Coach for performance elevation
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5 years’ experience in medical communications, clinical research or pharmaceutical drug development process.
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management or Lean Six Sigma
Other Information/Additional Preferences:
- Prior management experience
- Bachelor’s or Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MBA) in a healthcare or scientific field
- Experience with business systems (e.g. PRISM), scientific content generation technology
- Demonstrated ability to engage and leverage third party vendors to support flexible capacity allocation.
- Strong knowledge of the creation and delivery of regulatory, publication, commercialization and/or healthcare communication plans

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$151,500 – $244,200
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
