Job Responsibilities

Facilitate the Implementation of the different Environmental & Safety Programs.

  • Serve as primary Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) contact for the assigned areas.
  • Serve as a resource for operational areas to help them understand regulatory requirements and programs and collaborate with them to implement compliant solutions.
  • Facilitate the implementation of HSE programs and permits and provide technical support on assigned programs.
  • Conduct periodic visits and inspections to the areas, participate in regulatory inspections, site self-assessments and audits, as required.
  • Work together with area’s Management to achieve HSE objectives and goals.
  • Work and facilitate execution of actions and plans for HSE events reduction.
  • Be a technical resource to review and approve event investigations and change controls.
  • Identify areas to improve, suggest alternatives and work as a team with the operational areas to implement the improvements.
  • Conduct/facilitate HSE events investigations.
  • Be on call 24 hours/7 days to assist our clients.
  • Responsible to revise the written program and training, offer applicable trainings, design the implementation strategy, work directly with the areas for implementation and troubleshooting, audit compliance, follow up until completion and be a technical resource for the assigned programs.
  • Know the basic concepts of Safety and PSM (Process Safety Management) applicability at the site to support changes and events evaluations.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Environmental)
  • EIT or Professional Engineering (PE) license, preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the HSE field, required.
  • Experience in manufacturing support role.
  • Solid technical expertise/understanding of Health and Safety OSHA standards and Environmental regulations (DNER, EPA) and experience in the implementation of different programs.
  • Fully bilingual with written, verbal and oral communication skills (English /Spanish)
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Experience dealing with regulatory inspections (Ex presentations to agencies).

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$51,000 – $148,500

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
